Marriage, Family, and Child Therapist
I am a firm believer that good therapy involves the right match between the client and therapist. Therefore I do answer all questions on the phone prior to an office visit. I also provide a free 30 minute in person question and answer session that does not involve any type of counseling.
This means that if we decide to work together you will be involved in a very action oriented and direct therapy. I use what is called an eclectic therapy or multi-theory approach, but I do rely heavily on a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Approach. Upon request you can ask that your personal spiritual views be included as part of your therapeutic process.
Areas of Specialization
Since 1983 I have worked with children, teenagers, and adults in many educational and non-educational settings on both the East and West coast. I specialize in problems of Chemical Dependency and Recovery, Learning Disabilities, Crisis, Depression, Domestic Violence, Employment, Life Transitions, Women's Issues, Family Counseling, Spiritual Crisis, and Pre-Marital Counseling.
